Hi beam issues

Post by Herd »

I have a LWB 1993 EFi petrol. Head light works and hi beams work most of the time. Sometimes when switching on the hi beam, the blue dash light doesn't come on and the right hand head light goes out and the left hand hi beam comes on. Where do I start to look for the fault?

I had the same problem in my Terrano. One of the contacts in the base of the indicator/light stalk wasnt contacting properly so i just bent it over a bit. problem was fixed.

take it is a safari?
I had exact same issue while back. After a lot of pissing round tracing it found it was a broken wire in the headlight loom between relay and right head light

Yup, the LWB is a Safari.

Yup, as in post 2, it will be the switch on the steering column.
