My 2nd hand 5 speed in my cruiser is in need of a bit of a freshen up before the certifier gets in an gives it death  sounds like someone stuffed an angry cat in there

So my question is for those who've rebuilt one of these boxes before where did you get your bearings/kit from? I will try bnt skf saeco etc but....

Im not 100% on what the box is out of. It is a course spline h55f but its got a manual transfercase so im guessing it may be out of an early fj60? but given I dont have a model to work with BNT or toyota wont want to help me

Ill be starting on removing an stripping it tomorrow so if anyone can shed some light on this for me Id appreciate it :D

Itll be out of a petrol 60series they had coarse spline and manual transfer, the 70series has the vacuum transfer.

Yeah thats what I thought the h series an later fj60 had the vacuum transfer cases so I thought this was either an early fj60 one or someone had put a 40 series manual case on it for some reason
Ill try Don Kyatts tomorrow cheers mudlva

some NZ new petrol 70s had manual shifted transfers ( and no power steering  )
