Looking for someone qualified in the Napier/Hastings area that would be able to spare an hour or so to give me a soldiers five on the basics in welding (mig and arc-though don't know much about either). Have two weeks off from next week so can work around your times. Have a couple of holes I want to patch up and a couple of "ideas" I'm thinking of doing. One of which is to get rid of the seats and replace them with others. From what I've picked up off here from other forum posts that if you change seats that don't use the old fittings you need it to be certified, can someone confirm this, and if so, anyone in Napier/Hastings that you'd recommend.
Cheers
Bryan

Best advice i can give you is, pick up a welder (buy or rent) and just play with it, its a practice makes perfect thing. Sure get someone to teach you the basics, set up etc. But its all a time and practice thing.

Thought of doing that but would prefer to get a hands on with others within ORE that understand the power of alcohol
Apart from that, talking with others in person that are showing me things from ORE will either know of/understand/done things I want to do. Either that or they'll think I'm completely mad
