Fueling up question.

Hi All,
Ive just got my water to air intercooler fitted and running properly, now my EGT is struggling to get up to 400 deg.
Any hints on how much i should turn it up now? Im aiming for a max of 650 Deg.
Im going to start with 1/2 a turn..

Sorry to answer with a question, but why are you aiming for 650 deg?
I thought the idea was to try and keep them low, while forcing as much air and fuel down its neck as possible.
So many things can influence the EGT's, IMHO that doesn't leave much margin of error.
Think about loading (both vehicle and incline) and external influences like condition of air-cleaner, free flow of exhaust and even ambient air temp.
When we say 700 deg max, that isn't a target
Heating up the EGT's is easy but when the load disappears, rapid cooling can crack things like heads, manifolds, etc.
My 10c worth, and food for thought.
Cheers,

I agree with what you have said completely, but when you have only one variable ie: Fuel, then the only way to get more power is to increase the fuel to the maximum limit.
When I said max 650 deg, that is loaded with camping gear, trailer etc..
I ended up turning it up 1 whole turn which gives me 500deg with 4 people in it.
I am happy with a the amount of power it currently has and I am unable to go any further until the new Turbo and injector pump are fitted..

Where is the EGR sensor mounted ...before or after the turbo...If its after turbo the temp pre turbo will be much higher.

no boost comp ?
if so i would keep the fuel down low even with low egt's. otherwise it will be over fueling even tho egt guage doesn't see it. tho you should notice the big puff off smoke out the back. if it blows no smoke then don't worry about it.
once you have new pump with boost comp then go hard.
nice to see the IC is working well. a little surprised as they are not very big. got any pics of the setup?

No puff's of dreaded black smoke as of yet..
I don't have any photos of the setup yet but i will get some on here asap!!
I might actually get rid of the W2A setup as I might use a friends front mount setup he has for sale that is set up for a LN13, i just need to do some measuring..
Im going to save up and get a 2L-t pump fitted with a 12mm plunger, hopefully it goes nuts..
