safari auto hub problem

Post by uwish »

a mate of mine has a safi 1990 td42 with a drivetrain problem
when put into 4wd(high/low) after a 50m or so the drive train is binding up(reson i think is brand new tyres front and bald rear) and it makes a bang noise which i think is the auto hubs letting go so i put them in "lock" position and it goes three times as far before making noise again truck has done high kms 400 odd,
if you drive on ground that can let sum off the wheels slip then will not do because the presure is not building up, so my question is can you buy parts for hubs? or is it just best to put sum manual ones on to replace?
