Strange finds

Just wondering if anyone has had any strange finds when stripping their Nissans. Had pulled off the dash to fix some wiring and pulled out the carpet to put down some sound insulation and had found japanese coins hidden throughout, some taped to the floor, others wedged into crevices. Obviously done when the vehicle was built (1984). Most were 1cents (or what their equivalent is) but under the fuse box under the drivers seat was a 1 and a 10 taped to the floor.

Arghh you just discovering how clever these japs are..... you see tape has an adhesion limit of about 100000km's, now the clever bit this 12c investment (1c for tape  ) will release the coins letting them vibrate and rattle... making the driver think they have damaged something so off they trundle to the Nissan dealer to get fixed (finding and fixing unidentified rattle- 4hrs labour @ $106/hr)
Now the really clever bit is if the owner isn't a total mechanical nob and has got in there to fix the problem himself all he finds is some coins 8)
Only problem is they are too smart for there own good and get caught out when they ship em overseas

Cheers Reece

I found a set of TINY screw drivers in a little pouch (some something that a doll would use but these were metal with plastic handles), half a pack of asian chewing gum, some coins and an info leaflet for something.

when I was younger I worked on a car yard detailing and selling imported cars ... yeah yeah I was a scum of the earth car salesmen, I used to find dozens of coins under the seats, also found a G-String (eww) in the removable upholstery of a Honda City, lots of Jap Gum and condom wrappers.

NZ cars on the other hand ... EWWWWWWWW no one seams to bother cleaning their car out before trading, knickers, even a sex toy (biggest fu#@king Dong Ive ever seen jammed behind the front seat of a Hi Ace Van), wallets, rings, Money ($100 all in $2 notes in one instance) dope, all sorts, sometimes not all nice .. like cleaning rotten food out from under the seats, or trying to remove the smell and chunky bits from someone who's spewed up all though the back of a Falcon :?

Boss used to let me keep any money :) ... I said he could have the Dong though .. we hung it up in the cleaning bay, just in case the owner came looking for it!

Sorry, my mistake, it was ass crack and it wasnt 18lbs, it was more like 1800lbs and it was on top not under the seat and it smelt like off cheese mixed with cat food.
