Well sold the wifes WRX and she wants a Terrano 1996+

What would I have to look for in these patricular ones?

I have read in here that the 3.2 diesel and 2.7 diesel are bullet proof so the motors im not to worried about unless there is something I should know.

Its not going to be a off roader probably the odd shiny tracks for now.

I have heard something about the injector pumps playing up but dont know much about that.

Any info would be great

Thanks
Ray

As far as I know, they are alright for the occasional bit of offroading, but the front end is weak when they get into harder stuff.

But seriously, all the effort with the WRX, and she sells it after. What is this?

Haha I know all I can say is "WOMAN"

I have been trying to get her into a 4wd for a long time and at least she is now considering them haha she likes Winston's (Churchill) Suzuki/Mazda but they arent big enough.

My brother's one is gonna be up for sale soon as he wants a van for work. It's a 97 auto. Can get you more details and photos if you like. He's in Rodney area.

I wouldn't buy one with higher k's without budgeting on doing the injector pump. I would try and find one thats had a pump done because the low (100 ish) k's ones are bloody expensive and after they have had the pump done they are good for another couple of hundred thousand k's. To have the pump reconditioned it's 1200+ GSt and thats if you pull it out and send it to the pump recon people and re-install it yourself.
