I was thinking Ashley track(dont need to go through river at all,I dont have a snorkel)have never been there myself but work mate has who well be guiding me/us so to speak.I'm told the tracks not that hard but with the weather being the way it is well make it a bit more of a challange.
Track takes about 2 hrs easy one way at a slow pace.

Meet at bellfast pub(the Peg) 11:00am??

Any guys from Rangiora/ashley way we cold meet on the way.

What do you think guys???

With a buildup like that, and all going to plan, I'll be in too. Would be rude not to appropriately christen the new engine by breaking a mud hole over its bow before the Coast Trip.]

Turnng me off the whales there now Matt  Track starts at Highway 1 bridge and you can go as far as you are game in current conditions. I would say you would only go as far as the confluence of the ashley and the okuku and that will require some river crossngs. The actual track stops a k or so before that. It is on the north side of the river.
