Newbie in Auckland

Post by arby92 »

Gidday Gents,

Not new here by any means but never really posted am more of a lurker, decided I would post on here as a couple of members have helped me out recently with some parts and tyres and decided to post some pictures up of my truck. Brought it off trademe about 3 years ago quite cheap but not long into it I had some reliability problems not just with the truck but my driving too  Anyway Isuzu Bighorn with toyota landcruiser diff in the front with lockrite locker in it, standard diff in the back with arb air locker, holden 3.8 v6 with toyota sc14 supercharger on it and custom computer and tune, th700 gearbox rebuilt recently for the 2nd time as apparently they dont like water very much  , gear driven toyota transfer case with crawler gear in it and driveshaft handbrake, about 4 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift on rancho in cab adjustable shocks, some bar work and a tigerz winch, custom dash and complete rewire and 36x12.5 superswampers with a set of 35 x 12.5 goodyear wranglers as my daily driver tyres. Oh and the red car on the left is my second favourite toy

Got a couple of mates with quite capable trucks too and were all off for a big trip to the crunchie trail in a couple of weeks as we are still scared of thompsons especially at this time of year, apart from that we just generally go up to woodhill for some chaos and fun. Going to try and fit a highlift and hydraulic ram assist as I have turning issues got some parts off suzolla and snr4x4 and all turned up of friday so am excited to try some more rangi mechanics. After that would like to try and fit a roll cage but not quite sure how to go about it and keep it road legal

Welcome :D
Fine truck.
All ya need to to is join a club, tag on some trips, and thompsons will be a good target for the spring/summer.
I'm looking at it around labour weekend.
Are you north/south or east/west aucks?

Cheers,

Norwest meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month, upstairs at Paddy's bar, Kumeu. 7:45 start time usually, arrive at 7:30 just in case though...
