not here but is very very applicable as we have a lot of climbs like this.

I like the kid getting out, good move but at 1:21 - 1:22 the results of no restraints.

Freeze it at 1.21 I'm pretty sure that's a right arm popping out of the top left window. Hear the kid crying right at the end. Doesn't look like much of a hill, but look how bad it can go wrong. i saw this one last year Mike.

looks more like a left leg out the back left window. ####### scary. Why I never drive with out my seatbelt

yeah that definitely looks more like a leg than an arm to me,either way that's not cool,and as said the hill doesn't seem overly big,as in the sort of hills most of us would have done in the past

On top of everything else, it also shows why SWB is not the go at steepish climbs when there are holes at the top. See how quick it comes around sideways and most of that is due to the thing droping in at the very top and popping the front wheel up.
And I know you trials guys may not agree with that, but you are also fully caged up and belted in, and your rigs are designed for a roll.

With my specs on I can see it IS a leg.

That was close Pete, and yes LWB are better on hills like that. I always get nervous in my Vitara on hills like that too.

i know there is a bit of debate around wearing seat belts off road, that i have come across any way. I know i always do and make sure my passengers do, as illustraighted by that video its better to be inside a rolling vehicle than getting thrown from it.

This sort of incident is why its so important to keep your centre of gravity as low as possible.
The trials guys trucks are usually real low & wide..they dont jack theres miles up in the air.

how do you get a long centre of gravity

there is a bit more to the swb thing than just CoG.... notice at the top how it bounces on the back axle, this is from a higher Anti-Squat caused by the lift in the suspension
The trials guys in a lot of cases are indirectly ending up with flat link angles (from trying to keep there trucks low) which give low AS this means they brake traction instead of rearing up....

After yrs in the bush on logging gear I just don't feel comfortable with out a seat belt things can go wrong so fast
