hey guys,

just wondering what kind of a clutch-plate is compatible with the TD27ti.
I have the manual gearbox not auto. can the N/A TD27 or N/A QD32 clutch-plate be fitted instead of the one that's in the car right now?
how about the pressure plate or the fly-wheel?
I'll need to replace the clutch soon.

N/A ones aren't as much spring pressure.
When I turboed my TD27 the clutch instantly slipped.
You can just buy a turbo kit but I perfered to remove flywheel and drop the whole lot to the clutch specialest to be machined and set up properly. Year later it started slipping again, so repeated the proceedure and jumped up and down at them so now it was set to 3700lbs (about twice to norm).
It helps when they are a customer of mine too.
30 odd years of building clutches can't be wrong.
Autoclutch, Morningside, Auckland. Ask for Neil or Tom
Plus there is quite a few different combinations of release bearings too. Mine was listed to a Pulsar

Only problem now is that I have to buy a plane ticket to get to Morningside, Auckland from South-America to New Zealand.
that's going to be one pricey clutch-disc. .

I don't think they do clutches in my country, that's why I wanted to know if the N/A clutch-disc would be a good replacement.

as the terrano only comes with auto-boxes in my country it's going to be hard to find a clutch-disc for the manual turbo TD27.

I'm always having bad luck when it comes to finding car parts.

My heavy duty clutch was made from a standard Terrano pressure plate with a Toyota Supra spring fitted. Works well

are they supplying the clutch?
if so thats a real good deal.
considering its about 4 hours to get the gearbox out
another hour doing clutch etc
then 4 hours puting everything back together

as I'm getting the gearbox rebuilt an 2.5in exhaust + clutch guess there cutting a deal for the work have priced round others saving quite a few dollars
