3.8 v6 into a hilux
Im wanting to know where i can source the parts in new zealand for putting in a 3.8 commy engine in my ln106 hilux i know theres info out there for using the auto trans but i want to bolt it to my hilux gearbox has any one else done the same conversion theres info from oz but just wanting to know if there is anyone in nz that has done it any help would be awesome.

That would be a great idea if every combination you enter comes up ignored this and ignored that cause of to many common words blah blah blah even if you just type one word other wise i would'nt of asked the question

yes the search funtion can be difficult but the other option is to wade through some forum headings.projects / mods is a good one
yes its been done by quite a few,im doing it right now on the brother n laws truck
bell housing and parts most find on trade me (hard and not often to pop up) or buy from aus.dellows you deal direct,marks have a distributor in chch

Oh massive that's just what i was after a start point so i can go in the right direction thanks heaps mate

You can always go down the commy auto/bighorn transfer case path, seems like its been done a bit and alot cheaper than an adapter kit from auz

That's a good idea mate thanks heaps, I know a lot of people rekon auto is better for off road no clutch contamination etc etc and its easier driving but i do like driving a manual if i was going to go v8 i would have it auto for sure but as my daily driver it would be way 2 thirsty for driving every day lol
