VVTI 1UZ

Post by 1UZ-LUX »

Hi guys anyone done a VVTI 1UZ conversion just want to pick your brains on a few things.

If anyone is keen to give me 5mins of your time for a quick call please just drop your number and ill give you a call. Or hit me with a PM.

This will be going into a 106 Double cab hilux on a 70 series chassis.

Mainly questions around the throttle body and the ECU.

Cheers Jarrad

Have not done it, but have done quite a bit of research, for VVTI you need either an aftermarket ECU or front cut to wire in the ignition bits to get the anti theft bits to work.

Dunno if thats any help

I was really just wondering if its any more difficult to do than a standard 1UZ because of the VVTI. I was thinking of running a LINK Etreme.
