Post by pruggerdore »

Need to aquire or build a ground anchor for the hawkes bay tough truck. can make one but the design is quite a science apparently. any thoughts on designs. what have you used and thoughts on as a result. imagine there some pretty hopeless designs and ideas out there. anyone want too sell me one??

we never took one or needed one when we were up there last time as there are plenty of trees to winch off but having said that we probably spent more time in the pits trying to get all the peaty mud out of clutches, radiators, starter motors, alternaters etc than we did out on the tracks :x :?

we used my red one at the costa teams event last year and it seemed to bite in pretty well pulling a couple of cruisers and a Saf (but that was before I modified the length of it to get a deeper bite), I havent used the yellow one but it seems to be pretty close in the angles and lengths and I'd be pretty sure its a copy of an origional firma grip ground anchor, can measure up the angles and lengths for you if you want them?
