hilux diesel clutch slave cylinder

Whats the bore size of the hilux diesel clutch slave cylinder, googled the shit out of it.. the ones used in the 2.4 and 2.8s etc
having an issue with a shop whom I got to sleeve it down to reduse the bore size, which is required for the comy conversion..
ive asked them to reduce it to 11/16 as recommended by marks4wd, its what they do with their kits..
they done the job but then gave me a price almost double what they quoted saying it needed a bigger sleeve to get to the size I want, it was a bad phone line when I spoke to them and the dude sounds like hes smoked a few too many ciggies, so I will be popping in on Monday to sort it out. I think hes reduced it smaller than what I asked for, so I need to know the standard bore size so when I go talk to him I got my facts right..

sorry can't help you on this one but do you have any pics of your sump and how you did it for the histeer, and have you used the trailgear front spring hanger as well

Thats from a 1985 Hilux with 2L 2.4 diesel.

sump not done yet but thers plenty of room to do rear pickup sump and clear the diff head

nothing seems easy at the moment
just went to fit up new clutch line and bleed with the new slave cylinder, ready to drop motor in, to find fluid pissing out, to find theres no pin, and the piston has poped out of the cylinder
I had this re-sleeved to reduce to 11/16.
Its a new slave I purchased from autostop and im assuming they come as a complete unit, with pin, surely?
and is there a retaining clip to keep the piston from coming out or does the clutch folk do this??
or has the brake shop i got to do the sleeve fckued up and havent completed the job?????

When you say pin I take it you mean the pushrod, I cant say I've ever brought a slave cylinder thats come with a pushrod and I cant ever remember having a slave cylinder thats had a clip to hold the piston in coz the the fluid pressure/gravity always pushes the piston out when I take them off

so u rekon I need to buy a pushrod seperate and the clutch folk is what keeps everything intact?

the pushrod needs to be adjusted to the right length so the piston is pushed back into the slave cylinder, there should be a small amount of freeplay on the clutchfork so the release bearing isnt riding up against the pressure plate when your not using the clutch and theres usually a spring running paralell to the pushrod between the clutchfork and the slave cylinder to pull the clucthfork back on the freeplay

cheers, im aware of all that but think its unusual that theres nothing to retain the piston in the cylinder. and even more unusal thet when you buy a new slave cylinder it doesnt come with the pushrod

I just purchased a nissan unit, comes with boot and rod.
The piston is not retained by a pin.
Not like a brake master.
I assume all are much the same.
The Toyota clutch master I purchased also came with a boot and rod.
Suppose it depends on the kit.
When the clutch is all assembled the piston is held in by the clutch fork mechanism.

alright so I have the pushrod from my petrol slave cylinder, can anyone measure their toyota diesel one so I can compare
