Sketchy's Terrano Mods

Though I would chuck up some pictures of the Terrano, have gotten most of the work I want done it it now

Has got

Custom rear bar
9500lb Winch
Intercooler
Intercooler Fan
Dual Battery with VSR and manual override switch for winching.
Twin Elelctric Fans

In cab manual over ride for the Fans - Was bored at work so CNC machined the writing for the switches in some stainless steel, probably the best part of the truck.
Rear Drawers carrying:
Bed setup
50mm body lift
Calmini 50mm Suspension lift (sagged out now with all the extra weight)
Tightened LSD in rear (Chirps going around tight corners)
Pioneer sound system
AVS Alarm

Carry with me when wheeling:

2x 10m Winch extensions
4x Shackles
1x Tree protector
2x Snatch blocks
1x Exhaust Jack
1x Extingusiher
1x First aid kit
plus the usual tools, shovels, spare parts etc

Still to come

UHF Radio

Flood lights
Work light
32" Muds
Snorkel
2.5" exhaust

Nice 8)
Good thing the radiator is plastic tanked.
You're right, the CNC plate is nearly porn

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Classic,

Yeah my shed has too much crap in it so the truck has to live outside on the street. When that snow hit and there were guys stuck all over the road I was out giving them a tow home, was great fun. Even towed a Hilux ute with a racecar on the trailer to the top of stuart drive.

Now I have got all the bits to recover myself I need to go get stuck!

Cheers,

Yeah I had to replace the radiator with the plastic tank one shortly after I got the truck. Still not convinced its as good as the old brass/copper ones.

When I put the CNC plate in the missus asked me "What's the eject for?"

To which I replied "Oh, that's for when you piss me off, I can fire you through the roof"

I thought it was hilarious but for some reason she just punched me in the ribs.... :? :?

Cheers man, thought I would do something a little different. Just a shame it doesn't really match the front with the front being round bar but it'll take the hits, it's 4mm wall 40x40 box

Hey, I have a cool fix for the hatch rams.
Get a bit of pvc water pipe the same length of the chrome spear and slip it over the top of the ram. When it extends the tube falls into the space between the ram and the bottom point, locking it up. When you want to put it down move the tube to the central location and it slides over the top half allowing it to close. My new one had this system but I changed them to my good ones.

Cheers,

Yeah I was waiting for someone to point out me "mean as bro" block of wood. I've recharged them once and they last about 6 months, just gotta take em off and take them to work and put them in my choice as nitrogen chamber and regas them.

Will never be without my trusty block of wood though

lol I still have to shoe horn a Sanden sd508 air con pump in there for my onboard air system. I have a plan in mind to lower the stock air con unit and put the new one in between it and the alternator, but that's another post in the making.

BTW, i'd love to come up to Welly sometime when funds allow and rub shoulders with you fellas. Be good to get the Terrano some Nth Island mud on it.
