Slime! etc tyre sealants

Post by 3VILC »

Has anyone tried these puncture repair/preventer in a can type things? Wondering how they would go at sealing a slow leak that tyre shops cant seem to find. My tyres still have plenty of tread but 2 go flat/soft constantly and have to pump up once a week or so

change tyre shops dude

it can take some looking but you should always find the leak

are they tubeless, have they stripped them down and cleaned all beads thoroughly :?:

yes i use the slim in my bobcat tyres repairs nail holes good

in your case as it has been said above it is most likely the bead of another idea would be to look at the actual valve seals as they can be damaged by lots of removing when airing down etc

dont know if the slim will help in these cases as i was told that fo the slim to work it needs to be forced out of the hole/leak as the tyre rotates and as the leak not going to be at the "botom" then it may not work

also its designed for tubeless dont know weather this is your case your not

we have tried varoius styles of puncture sealant in some of our company 4x4s, its all ok untill you want to tavel at a faster speed on say a corrugated gravel road then it starts to fling about inside the tire causing a massive imbalance...

as Skid says, try a different tire shop :)
