i am trying to manualies a r31 auto, have got wiring loom diagram. The help i need is in first gear you need the two solenoid powered which are 1 is the white wire and the 2nd solenoid is blue wire which gives you 1st gear . 2nd gear is run by 2nd solenid which is powered by the blue wire.By using the gear selecter in 1st to get power to the solenoids by joining the white and blue wires togther gives you first . The problem is when you select 2nd on the gear selector you are powering the to solenoids is there a way of not powering the white wire .

thanks al

You need a couple of 12V diodes. And ideally you should use the selector to power relays (one for 1st, 2nd and O/D). the switch may copre with running the solinoids but will crap out eventually.

yup, diodes driving 2 relays to power the solenoids, do not drivethem direct from the selector switch as it will crap out

thanks for that i will get 2 diodes, but doiodes only let power go one way? So when you selectg 2nd gear you will still have power going to the 2 soleniods

I have 2 diagrams here but they are on docx so cant attach them. PM me an email address and I will send them to you. The diodes need to go in the wires going from relay 1 to the two solinoids. You only need one if not using O.D. Also if you are going to use O.D check which way your switch is some Nissan are power when in OD some other way and some use earth not positive. This effects which sort of relay you need. Hard to explain but if you see the diagrams you will see the light.
