is check engine light on/flashing ?

one small common thing is to make sure battery is fully charged up. if voltage drops to much ecu shuts off the fuel.
how cold is it there? are the glow plugs working?
have you got fuel getting to injectors? have you bleed injector lines?

the ecu board in the pump is known to fail, but check everything else first as it gets expensive to fix the pumps.
