Thought that I might tell a story.........
Once apon a time Blah, Blah,Blah
A few months back I decided that it was time for a make over on the old jigger. Swept garage, removed body, motor/boxes, diffs, steering, even the brake lines.
So here I am one old 84 surf in about ten million pieces.
I had already done the motor (1g-geu 6cyl, efi,2ltr,158hp) its been thrashed and lived so it can stay for now, next I rebuilt the front diff inclueding a locker. Then a made a low profile xmember for the gearbox (15mm plate) which lifted the gearbox 35mm, no problems I've also lifted the body 45mm.
Then one night (I must have been bored) I decided to bob it 300mm which left me with the delema of what to do with the chassis that would hang out the back, so I removed 260mm off that too. It a good thing that I've decided (well nearly finished) to put a 3link aframe set up in the back.
Anyway thats my tale to date, I'll post some pics in the near future once I done abit more and it doesn't look like it been used for a car bombing.

Its just a mount for the ball joint which is off a navara I believe.
Since I done that A frame I've changed my mind on the design and am going to do it again, I'll make the chassis mounts attach alot closer to the chassis rails, effectifly making the A frame alot wider. I'm also abit concerned about the balljoint levering itself out, but I'll sort that one out later.
See ya Saturday.
