I've just bought an oil filter sandwich plate from trademe because I want to fit a oil pressure sensor.
It's going on to a Mitsi Pajero 3.5 V6 - which has an M20 oil filter thread.
So what you're supposed to do is mount the sandwich plate onto the engine using the centre fitting. Then you just spin on the filter as normal. The problem is the centre fitting has only got about 15 mm of male thread for the filter to screw on to, much less than what normally protrudes from the engine. The oil filter won't even begin to thread on!
Anyone had any experience with this?

Re: Oil filter sandwich plate
hey mate, ive ran these multiple times and never had an issue, possibly might not be matched to you filter set up so may need to get a different filter then it'll work?

Jackpot - found a different filter listed as 'some models' that's a better fit...

Re: Oil filter sandwich plate
for a bypass filter you only need to T the oil pressure switch. they don't need much flow.
Re: Oil filter sandwich plate
have another gauge sensor threaded in it already
