Sooooooooooo, how did it all go this time round??
We won the event in 2009, I think we completed 15 stages which was the most ever completed by any team in the history of the event!!!!
Here's the 2009 winners:

Jeremy, Jack, Pete, Sarah, Ben, Paul.
The Trophy has been sitting on my shelf for the last two years, this is the day before we had to send it back:

So who's got it now??
Stories and pic's!!!!!!!!
Come on, some of you have to be home by now!!!!!

Re: gwava"s tough truck
I could be wrong but I think a team of tricked up zuks won.
Lots of stages done buy all teams it was dry.
The logging roads were so dusty you couldnt see your team in front of you between stages

The Third member (blue zuk in Jerrys pics) is Ben Towse, hes on here. Looks like similar team that won it the year before.
Re: gwava"s tough truck
it was def more "suited" to the zooks,(after all a lot of it was between trees, one pair of trees was so tight the big Nissan only just sqweezed thru!) but the fact that the goodmans arrived late, and got 2nd in their trio of V8 40s means that there is no real advantage to running the smaller 4x4s..... (except maybe a fraction of Stans fuel bill hahahaha)
i used to Cruise, now i PATROL

Re: gwava"s tough truck
We are home (finally) after another awesome Hawkes Bay Tough Truck challenge - challenging tracks, incredible location and a great bunch of marshals/organisers.
1st place, was team zuki as mentioned
2nd, the Goodman FJ40's
3rd, Manukau 4wd club
4th, (us) Auckland 4wd club / Norwest OHV club
Pete, we didn't manage to hold onto the trophy this time. We were trying, and we were going pretty well until the last stage where it all fell apart. But we had heaps of fun in the process, which is what it's all about.
So although we didn't get the trophy this time around, we did get awarded the 'Overall prize'. For those of you who haven't been, it is an award given out based not only on points but also on marshal feedback on things like team work, bribes, team spirit etc. It was an honour to be given that prize, so a big thank you to all the marshals/organisers.
...already looking forward to the next one

We won the event in 2009, I think we completed 15 stages which was the most ever completed by any team in the history of the event!!!!
We had an awesome event. The organisers did a fantastic job as usual, with great tracks, great organisation with the map system, and great food at Hoki's cafe.
Wayne and Nigel managed to keep their trucks in one piece this year so we could pick up the 1st place trophy for a second time for the all Zuk team!
We completed all 15 stages without much drama. Just the usual mud and swamp grass stuck in everything including radiators, air-boxes and electrics.
I don't know how some of the bigger trucks managed to fit through some of the stages. Judging by the amount of bark missing on the trees I guess they didn't really fit!
We made it home to Auckland about 12:30am after a bit of a late prize giving and a trailer blowout on the way home.
