Hi, has anyone here changed the seals on thier pump.
Changing tyres yesterday and notice diesel fuel dripping out while I had the front jacked up.
Any thoughts ?

ive done a few now, do it in place , make sure you clean the centre of the throttle wheel bolt and make a note of where the line in the centre goes, this is important when it goes back together, undo fuel in/out lines , remove throttle cable bracket remove throttle wheel , undo the top cover bolts on the pump (can be really hard, i used impact screwdriver sockets and a 8mm ring spanner) as the cover comes off make sure you notice the governer move back then you lift the cover off, you will need somthing to push this back over to get it back down ( i used a flat blade screwdriver) make sure you dont get anything in the fuel resivour - dirt etc, replace the oring on the throttle shaft , clean everything as well as you can install new seal and reassemble as it came apart- then bleed the lines and get the throttle back in the same position ( took a few goes to get position right both times), the auto bleed on some models is a pain and needs lots of cranking over to bleed (only bleeds while starter is engaged) manual bleed was easy- loosen bolt , plunge till diesel goes everywhere then lock the bolt
tristanp - right on the money with your description, seals replaced, leak fixed.
only minor dramas were getting the governer arm out of the way when putting the housing back on, and 3 attempts to get the throttle shaft on the right spline.
Took a little while to do, being an exceed had to remove the intercooler and the throttle position sensor, brackets, wiring etc to actually get to the 4 allen head bolts.
Thanks again for the advice.
