car alarm (uniden vs2600) in 60series!!!

Post by stinky001 »

Hi wanting to know if anyone can help me............

I'm trying to put a uniden car alarm in my 60series Land Cruiser.
Ive fitted the alarm in ok but I'm having troubles with my central locking I'm not sure what wire to hook the central locking up too?

I have central locking normally and Ive tried the existing wire for central locking but its not working at all.

What am i doing wrong?

Can anyone help?

The locking/unlocking output is negitive and you normally have to make an interface to get it to reverse the polarity to move an actuator the right way.
Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Cheers,

The Uniden alarms have both negative and positive options on them. You can buy them in a 12 or 24v version. So providing you've got the right one voltage shouldnt be a problem either
