Sj413 parts to sj410 ?
Howsit guys just want to pick your guys brains. i have a sj410 chassis, transfercase and diffs, which has a 413 body on it. but have recently brought two sj413s for parts etc. do the sj413 diffs fit straight under the sj410? or do i have to modify spring perches and stuff? also whats the diff ratios and which is better? also + and - ? of the both diffs and stuff or whats good to change over and whats not? cheers guys

413 diffs will bolt straight under the 410. drive shalft flanges are different though. and diff ratios are different.

is the diff ratio change a good or a bad thing? will it make my gears lower or higher? the other thing is can i use the 413 driveshafts and just change around the fittings on the 410 transfer box to 413 ones? heaps of things to consider??

Re: Sj413 parts to sj410 ?
the biggest issue is Flanges.
In a perfect world you'd use 413 diffs with 413 driveshafts and 413 transfer case. OR all 410 stuff.
The flanges can be tricky to swap, and you can also swap yokes from the driveshaft ends but then you also have issues with the u-joints that need to be solved as well.
The 410 diff housings are smaller so you get better ground clearance, and you'll have lower ratios with 410 diffs. They are skinnier too so U-Bolts might be proud.
I understand you can swap 413 axles in the front which are stronger than 410.
I think theres also a rear brake hose mount difference.
Bottom line, 410 diffs are better because of the ratio and ground clearance.
