New from auckland need help

New to this form, hello everyone here.
Just bought a 1997 land cruiser vx 80 24v.
but The car feel powerless when take off. Try to fix the problem but don't know where to start ?

Is it standard or modified with larger diameter wheels? If so then it may be overgeared. Maybe able to better help if you gave a few more details.

all standard stuff. nothing has been done

What are you comparing it to? They are not rocket ships...
Wopass has done a few special mods to his to make it haul - might want to pm him.
From memory, playing with the diesel pump and a bigger diameter exhaust made a significant difference.

you said you are comparing it to your 94 lc80
that being the case i would be recomending to take it to a diesel turbo specailist and get a full engine and turbo analysis done as either the fuel system or turbo is under performing
just my thoughts

might be the injectors? chuck a bottle of injector cleaner in it and see if it makes any difference.

thanks guys, i think I need to take it in to get checked with turbo, fuel pump and trans
Who would be the best people to see ? any suggestion?

who has got the equipment to check those thing? Any place in Auckland?

alltech diesel & turbo, Wairau road, just 100m off motorway. i think they charge a fair bit, but are supposed to be the best.
