arp bolt torque setting
Re: arp bolt torque setting
the part that you are tightening has a tourque setting bud, the ARP bolt will take anything you can throw at it
so if its a head stud and the manufacture'er'er recomends 100ft/lb then you do the ARP bolt up to that not the other way around.
so if its this your after then heres a handy thing for you
Clutch Pressure Plate-Thread Locker-35 ft-lbs.

Re: arp bolt torque setting
cheers for that, but u sure?
that link you put up has a "warning" saying if using arp bolts, use their torque settings.
and the person who recommend I use arp said they come with their own setting..

Re: arp bolt torque setting
its the part that your bolting that has a specified tourque setting for a reason, mostly so the standard bolt/stud doesnt yield but also so it doesnt damage/crush/warp/the part you are bolting up or tear the thread out of the base.

Re: arp bolt torque setting
the ARP bolts are more than capable of going to a much greater tension before yeild, but you would never get that as the threads would strip out of your flywheel well before then
ARP bolts are the buisness end of the automotive fastener stick and use them where ever you can.
