This event is on again 3/4 March 2012 at National Park. Not hardcore four wheeling but usually a few challenges.

Registrations are now being taken for this event and close on 27 Feb. All the previous events have filled up, so don't leave it too long!

Over Waitangi Weekend we've checked the properties where the event will run and things are looking good. The weather wasn't but there is still a month to go. With vehicles limited by our concession from DoC to use some of their routes, the trip is getting closer to filling... so get your request for an entry form off to info@4x4nationalpark.co.nz

Hia all 4x4 Kiwis. I am on holiday from the uk, a 4x4 of road enthusiast .I am the owner of a Toyota Hilux Surf ,and i am looking for a ride with someone on this outing. I am willing to share the costs and help out as required. At the moment i am staying in Taupo for some time yet. what are the tire requirements? good ATs ok? (not me but some friends that are interested....)

Tyres will need to be 'good' to cope with the longer grass that this summer has generated. Fairly sharp edged AT's should be fine.

As of today the entries are closed, as the event is now oversubscribed. Thank you to all who have entered and it should be another great weekend.

I'm keen to do this, if T-Boon gets his truck sorted.

great weekend, lots of great tracks, good people, well run event! even the bad weather didnt deter from having a blast, even the kids loved it!! pics to follow

With regard to the photo on the Auckland 4WD Facebook page of the Landcruiser lying in deep water.... it was not taken on the 4x4 National Park event, but was during an 'after-match' trip through the 42 Traverse..... and not on the main track!

Going off the track in the 42 Traverse is not authorised by DoC and puts our ongoing access at some risk and obviously vehicles too.
