Ok guys

I have a 2 door ln130 with 32s and a 2 inch lift and planing on geting 2 inch body and 35s(if they fit) in the near future .

The big question is my front diff is a little buggerd i have brought a front diff with manual hubs ect in it, should I replace the diff weld up front and arb in the back or sas it(maybe a lockright) and arb in the back.

With a 2 inch lift and a 2 inch body can i fit 35s?

and any one know were i can get a cheap snorkel, body lift and lift shocks for my truck .

Oh and a 1kz engine transplant in the future.

Is there anything else i should do to the truck as i am new to the game and need some advice.

Cheers for all your help guys

Sam

Short answer no, long answer nope.

i think i got a pair of 2" longer rear shocks lying around somewere ill have to check

you could always just get a surf with a 1kz as factory, much easier

if you really want to go 35's then some guard mods at front need to be done and really 33's on a ifs surf is really all you need and a rear locker youl be sweet and also your surf wont have the balls without regearing to run 35s anyway and a4' bodylift is getting excessiveand requires alot more then just slapping them in there

id also since you say your new is spend more time in it as it is without getting all mod crazy and find out what it can and cant do try to pick better lines etc and maybe remove rear bumper for better departure angle but if doing this id get a rear bar made up or you could #### your body/tailgate etc

thats my opion anyways, and we all know what they are like, assholes, everyones got one

wasn't hard to get a cert at all as i did everything correctly but as said above its not just a matter of bolting it in,it took a lot of little extras but worked for me as it cost little with me doing all the work and was mainly done due to lack of funds for a sas and the fact id picked up a set of 35s cheap.i see your new as well,my advice would be go a decent set of 33s and use extra money for lockers and you'd go further then mine on 35s with opens,a good point to remember which a lot forget is its not all about the truck your in but also who's behind the wheel

ok cheers guys
sounds like a plan with 33s
to keep it on the lower $$ side should i lockright the front and air lock the rear?

i have been told just to wield the front up as it wont make a difference when i am on the road as its not engaged 4wd this sounds a little dodgy .

and with a body lift what height do you suggest just been told you can go 75mm withh out have to change steering ect ?

if you plan to run 33's a 2inch body and a 2 inch suspension lift is fine. if you choose to run 35's it will place alot of stress on cv's etc. 33's 2 inch body 2 inch suspension a couple of lockers you will have a decently set up truck that will go places compared to as said above with open diffs and 35's wont go so well nor go as far.

give or take a bit depending on driver of course  ,ive quite happily out driven mates truck with 33s and lockers

id look at going 2sus 2 body with lock right front and rear unless you do a lot of road kms in which case a selectable locker would save tyre wear

you only need a 2" body lift to run 33's , suspension lift is not required . IFS surfs front suspension works better when it's not jacked right up.

auto lock the rear , put a decent winch on the front.
recovery pionts front and rear
some bar work

then learn how to drive it . you will be very surprised where it will go.

most important thing is to get off the gas when you get a front wheel in the air. or you will get real good at changing CV's and front diffs.

I wouldn't run an auto locker in the front. a selectable only. other wise every corner off road the truck will fight you and try and drive striaght. or you will be constantly hoping out of the truck to undone one hub.

best type of tyre depends on what type of driving you do.
