Yeh does look a bit rough. Was made by a self taught welder in a carport using a 4in grinder and an old arc welder. Didn't leak or move so all good

Is made out of steam pipe and 3 90deg bends. Can't tell i photo but it kinda twists as it heads upto were the turbo is. I used 50mm dia but reckon 40 would be better as it would help speed up the exhaust flow which would spool turbo up quicker.
Cost me $15 to make including the flanges 8)

yeh but it comes down to the size of budget. My j pipe cost fark all compared to the 5-600 for the brought ones. plus side of making one is you can put turbo in a good spot to get exhuast out.esp if got a pto.

i gotta agree dude the mission ive been having.....intend to use a j-pipe setup on my shiny the main thing is bracket back to the manifold to stablise it

mine was made with 16mm flanges and steam pipe.this and the exhaust was braced at the bottom seemed to be strong enuf. The truck was used for the usual hard 4wding and when sold seemed to no sign of movement.

In saying that though when i do new truck i'll prob brace the j pipe.

No big budget for this one will do on cheep at this stage if it works out ile buy a manifold. Was thinking to use the two 6mm bolt holes that hold the heat sheild in place as brace points. Thanks for the input will keep posted on how it works out.

Taz!! you have what was once, briefly, a very long time ago, a semi shiny.

its now a matte, with tastefully textured areas...... hehehehehe
