wanted 4.55 toyota hilux open diff

Hi guys,

I have bought a lokka to go in my lux but it is currently in a broken diff and the one in my truck is an lsd. Am looking for an open 4.5 hilux diff to put the lokka in. Any one got anything? I could take a matching crown and pinion and put them in the housing I have if available as well. Chch would be best but anywhere in the south island really.

Will keep looking thanks mate. $400 seems pretty bloody steep to me at this stage. For that sort of money I would be expecting one with all new bearings etc. Though prices may have changed.... last one I got was $150 and I just missed out on one for $100 a week ago (a mate rang and I missed the end of the auction!)

What does everyone else think they are worth these days? Am I just being a tight ass?

sorry dude, could you please clarify for me, i ro speaky engrish, what bits exactly you lookin for pete? just the open carrier, crown wheel and pinion also, whole diff nugget complete?

I would prefer an full open diff head complete, 4.55 ratio.

the lokka I bought is in a diff head but the crown is buggered so if I can't find a complete diff head then I would look for a 4.55 crown and pinion to go into this diff and I will just rebuild it.

ive got one. im pretty sure its 4.55 (it has 4.5 stamped on the crown wheel) looks to be in pretty sweet condition.

$250-$300 is the going rate that stock car drivers in palmerston north pay, I have buyers waiting for me to get more 4.5 opens in, the 2 spider open ones are now worth more than the 4 spider ones due to the demand, I can supply one for $250 plus $50 freight to anywhere in the south island,
