Hey All,
Been signed up for a while but not yet posted.
Got my heart set on an 80series Cruiser and currently looking around for something suitable. Will be a multipurpose Dog/Wife/ski taxi and allow us to start venturing around the country.
So far found a couple of examples. One in Nelson and one in Feilding.
Prefer a 1HD-FT obviously, no real colour preference.
http://www.autoworldrichmond.co.nz/show ... ml?id=2720If anyone knows the history or has had a look at this vehicle I would be keen to hear from them.

see you round the forums.

Thanks guys.
At this stage, just trying to find one that hasnt spent too much time in the sea, I hate rust with a passion.
Also seems impossible to find out if the earlier ones in dealers have had the BEB's done. GAH.
Got a couple of pics from the dealer, not sure if anything here should worry me or not, appreciate some opinions as I dont have anything to compare with yet:

freshly painted chassis might be a bit of a concern?

the bearings all failed at around 100k and most trucks usually have around 300k on the clock now so you can guess that they have probably been done or didnt need doing if they have well exceeded the 100k mark

Thats common practice to do that at car yards a mate of mine who works for suzuki once told me hed kick the boys asses if they didnt do that to a used car before they put it on the lot it just makes it more presentable but if you look up close you can tell wheather its hiding anthing or not

OK, might skip that example anyway. Have got my eye on 2 others.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =405636445Green is my preference, so going to look at that on Sat.
If that doesnt pan out, I will be looking to hire the help of a ChCh resident (for a few bank notes) to have a look at the Blue one for me.

Right back from the depths.
Finally found an 80. Silver, 200k, 1HDT, Auto, HT tyres

Pics shortly.
Tow hooks and a couple of other little bits first, then hopefully get along to a shiny run or something.

Right, had enough of puny balding HT tyres.
Got myself a set of 285/75/16 KM2's. Looks a million dollars now, will try to get some better pics this weekend. Still not got my hooks, hopefully very soon.
