Some fuckwits broke into my mates evo last night in west auckland and tried to steal it.

He has a solid automatic gate at his house and they tried ramming it to get the car out.

The car was unlocked and had the gate opener in it but they smashed a window and tried to ram the gate  some real fuckin geniuses out there.

Just thought id let people know out west to keep ya nice cars locked inside, chained to the floor with no wheels on them and a shotgun handy to teach the pricks a lesson.

This thing is his pride and joy, hes spent the last few months behind his xbox instead of going out so he could spend all his money on it, just hoping we find these guys...

ah well, ya just get to a point where enough is enough.

Too many bleeding fukn hearts in this country and too many lazy thieving drug fukd fukwits who have all the fukn "rights" whereas the hard working clean living contributors to the country, who work to reward themselves with "nice" things are expected to lay down and get reamed when some useless peice of self righteous entitled shite decides they want whats yours. Fukkit, fuk pc and fuk their "rights"

(gasp.....) and then the............................ yadda yadda rant continues on and on and on

Fark, I'd say $2100 is a farkn cheep fix at a panel shop after it has rammed a gate!!!

I'm no panel beater, but I imagine this is how it would go.......

There's a few replacement parts required, lights, bumper, boot lid, spoiler, maybe even a rear gaurd.

Then the stuff behind the bumber and the rear corner need pulling back straight or replacing.

Then it all that needs dressing and prepping.

The replacement bumper and boot and spoiler will need prepping.

Then it all needs the hours put into it to get it perfect ready to be painted.

Then the colour needs matching with the rest of the car.

Then the parts need to be painted and the car put into the booth and masked up to the rear door jam line so the whole rear corner can be resprayed after its was straightened.

Everything needs to be baked to harden the paint.

Once out of the booth the replacement parts then need to be fitted, door gap adjusted, boot lid catch adjusted, light fitted and wired up, boost seal fitted, boots spoiler fitted bumper refitted etc etc

I woulds say $2100 is pretty reasonable for a shop to do it at $80 an hour including parts!!!!

Yea your right man, didnt really look at it from that point of view.

Hes just saying its alot of money since he just spend a decent chunk of money on the engine (under 500kms on a fully forged rebuild with cams etc).

Would be good if someone could help him out. He works hard for his money (works at pak n slave, so doesnt get alot at all).

We all work very hard for our money.
Most of the time we spend it wisely.
Some is spent on insurance just for these sorts of incidents.

I think the gate will be under insurance (i'd hope so anyway) if not i'll get them a good price through work.
