hey guys ive been quite interested in diesel v8s lately, just been doing a bit of reserch.

so far i have found quite a few, some unreliable, like the gm v8's.

also some of the deutz v8s are cool, like the aircooled ones.

but im quite interested in small tractors, and wondering if anyone knows of any information about smaller v8s? so far ive only found ones about 8 litre range, but im looking for one thats a bit smaller. maybe around the 5-6lt range as there doesn't seem to be any around.

What about the 6.5L Ford power stroke Diesel v8s like what the f250s have in them?

i do like the look of the new v8s, but too complicated.

Beware of the chev, I have seen 2 crack main bearing journals off the block and the cranks aren't that strong either. Mind you they were turboed marine engines. Good rattly runners though.
Cheers,

ive been warned off the 5.7's, because they used the 350 chev petrol block, and make the stroke and compression bigger. not very well designed
