My d21 navara has a shudder in first gear, you can be rolling with the clutch fully out put your foot down and it will shudder untill it gets past it's touque range then is fine. The clutch doesent slip and is fine in every other gear. It had the same problem when it was a gutless n/a befor i put a turbo on it. The problem get worse when towing.Any ideas or anyone had the same problem.

Only shudders in 1st? and only with power on? how about deceleration? or rolling in neutral? And any noise or just a shudder?

yip only 1st gear and with power on, if you keep your foot up it it will stop about 2800rpm neutral is fine deceleration is fine as well. 4wd is a bit better while towing is very bad.

Work navara does this when towing, i thought it was just the clutch slipping, its a nonturbo clutch with a turbo motor, they make turbo clutches so at a guess the nonturbo ones cant grip with the amount of torque

It might be the dampining springs in the centre of the clutch plate getting alittle worn and soft
