No reverse!!

Busy playing round on saturday, and managed to blow reverse in my 93 Singlecab Hilux. Any of you people out there experienced this before in a hilux?
The truck sorta bounced up and down then went bang, and all it does is grind when put in reverse, when every other gear works, works normally, its just a bugger trying to reverse park! lol Im guna oull it out and pull it apart, and put a 4 speed we have lying round in it for the mean time.
Any help would be great
