Thirsty prado

I've got a 96 1kz prado and its currently getting around the 15l/100k mark, I've got a couple of mates with them and they're easily getting 10l/100k. Running 265/75r16 tyres so not much bigger than standard, it seems a bit excessive to me. Have tried the usual filters etc, and will get the injectors checked this week. What else do you try? Not sure if it's related but the auto is shifting quiet roughly at times and its had a flush. Cheers

Nah no improvement with the flush, have just had the injectors tested and they're knackered so hopefully a new set will do something.

possibly the coldstart enrichment/pump timing is crook, could be a faulty temp sensor for the ecu, which will cause the pump timing to be constantly retarding, meaning you use more fuel to make the same amount of power
