Hi all,
I've just bought a set of 32x11.5r15s for my lux and was wondering how well it will flex in terms of rubbing etc with these tires?
And also if I will need wider rims than what I've got (no idea the width they are) I had the same size tires on my old terrano on standard surf rims so reckon it should be alright.
Cheers guys

at the back of the front guards there is a nasty seem what will leave some nice cuts in them, just flatten it with a BFH and you'll be sweet.
ps. won't matter if you lift the truck the seem is still a problem unless you push the front axle forward so you'll be doing yourself a favour.

maybe im just rough but i've had 3 of them and all have had various sized tyres and lifts (i've run 31, 32,33,35 and 36 inch tyres)and all have hit the back of the guards on full flex with the wheel turned, usually climbing out of a mud hole or steep rock/shingle banks. I have never had them rub flexing them in the driveway etc but on the tracks was a different story. All mates with hiluxs and surfs have had the same problem. There is a reason we all push our front axle forward.

its funny even on trademe you can tell all the tyres for sale that have been on a hilux, they all have cuts around the edge of the tread. Go look at your tyres, you may not hear the rub but they'll have cuts and if they don't then your not driving hard enough

IFS surfs/lux's don't rub as bad because they don't have a shackel to pivot and push backwards.

Yup i've got 31s on mine nad previous owner has ripped the s#|t outta them on that same seam. Ive had it where it will clip the plastic gaurd liner thats sticking out by that seam going up a driveway. But havent had it in the mud yet so am going to bring out the BFH before i do
