Extending Brake Lines

Post by Scott2007 »

After fitting the commodore shocks i went and tested out the travel of the new setup, Very happy with it, but hand brake lines are being stretched, and the main brake line is close to being tight.

My question is, can i use 5dr brake lines to give the handbrake lines a bit more length? How have other people fixed this issue?

I shifted the last fixed mount further up the cable allowing to pull down more.

I've heard 5dr cables can be used but couldn't do it as I have a 5dr.

5dr handbrake cables have a bit more length to them and are a straight swap.

I think you can also reroute the cables to give more travel.

We sorted ours with the conversion to rear discs.
