So there has been a whistling noise coming from my 95 ssrx kzn130 surf for the last month (stereo fixed that problem) until i went under to have a look and it turns out the exhaust has a dent just before the exhaust tip then in that it has a crack approx 30mm long then before the muffler (from the engine) in the bend it has a big crack approx 50mm long and a decent dent. idk how they got there havnt done anything rough with this truck but whats the best option???
A, Get it fixed and leave as is
B, get a straight through muffler and make the exhaust come out the side before the rear tyres
C, Get a bigger better exhaust.
D, A combination
Im running a 1kzte will it be an easy job thats not to pricey to get done

with the best benifits to the engine and fuel economy??
Thanks heaps

Have a chat with Hornby Exhausts. I got full 2.5" exhaust from turbo on my old Prado for about $500.
I guess you'd go 3" but seem to remember him saying it'd be about the same price. That way you kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
Cheers, Rhys.

just put a straight pipe on the RHS of the car. better sound and power. and less weight.

just have to find a dump pipe now to get the engine to flow into the new system (still sorting mine - have the turbo flange but not the time or $$$ at the moment - its on the long term to do list)
