escudo fuel pump problems

Post by BlakeJ »

howdy guys, trying to get the escudo that i brought for parts going b4 i pull it to bits. The fuel pump isnt going and the truck wont start. Its not the fuel pump as i hardwired it and it works fine and the truck will start. Ive looked at the wiring diagram and realise that the pink and black wire is goes to the pump. when the key is turned on the fuel pump relay ticks off after about 5 seconds but the pump doesnt go at all. Ive checked the fuses in the box and tried switching the FP relay with the ECU power relay and nothing. Ideas anyone?

there is a loom behind the rear left tail light, you could check continuaty from relay to there (or straight to fuel pump) to make sure its not just a broken wire. otherwise last time i had this problem it was the ecu :( where are you? i think i opened the ecu and could smell the burned out smell immediately
