Workmate just told me tonight that his Safari got pinched... it was parked up on a farm out Dunsandal way.. also a couple of bikes and a trailer went from the same area..
Will post more details after work tomorrow...
It was a: Grey / Black Short wheelbase model... lift kit, 35" mudders, winch, recovery gear etc.. hes gutted.
Just letting guys out that way know...
Too many 4x4's getting nicked lately...
Maybe the cops need to do one of those bait cars... like on Utube

Seems to be a lot of this going on around Christchurch...

I had someone appoach the Police in CHCH on behalf of 13 4wd clubs in chch. They werent interested at all.All they said was the usual shit.
Dont park in street
If you do park in street , under a light etc.
Park off rd wherecant be seen.
So basically nothing .....a waste of time
I guess there is no income for catching thiefs....only writing tickets!!!!!

Must be time we stepped up then. We now have the ability to check licence plates, chassis numbers, vin numbers against the police system 24hrs a day. If you see something dodge or just want to check pull out your phone and goto police.govt.nz/stolen/vehicles and punch it in. Police will be concentrating on the harsher crimes in the community such as child abuse, domestic violence, drugs etc
goto a scrapie and discreetly write down engine numbers when looking for your parts, there was one that was found with 9 stolen vehicles in his yard recently!
when getting parts off trademe ask for the chassis number so you can check if the parts will fit yours, or the engine number to verify they are the exact same model, if they don't give it then something is sus.
The only way to stop it getting worse is to remove the market, supply and demand.

The scary thing is Mike is i believe there are people who use this website who are involved.
I have heard a rumour about a member on here but until i find out some hard evidence i cant take it further..im currently checking out some stuff & if i can confirm it by getting an engine number i will be forwarding the info to police.
