15s or 16s
15s or 16s
Its time to do a set of tyres on my surf. It is used as a daily driver and occasionally off road. It currently has 33x12.5r15s. Is it worth going to a 16 or just stay with the 15s?
Re: 15s or 16s
I can see no advantage changing to 16 inch ... Unless the tyres you want are not made in a 15...
If you go to 16 inch you will also need to fork out for some new rims $$$

Re: 15s or 16s
if running big tires 16 would be less likley to come off rims?? and would make for more brake clearance
but prob not worth the extra cost, and i know with kumho kl71s 16" tyres cost $100 extra per tyre. so thats why i went for 15" tires and new rims

Stick to 15". If you do not need the extra room for bigger brakes stick with 15. I sell tyres and am always having issues with 16" tyres costing more and short stocks in the wholesalers when you need one. 15 is still more common. cheers Stephen
If you follow me in the bush you must be mad cause I'm plain CRAZY !!!

Yea stick with 15s, 16s are so much more expensive so think of the coinage you save and can put into other toys for ya wagon
Re: 15s or 16s
Depends what you want to do.
Larger rims offer more stability, smaller rims means more sidewall flex. Tyres for bigger rims equals less choice and more dollars.
