I think there is a sensor switch in there which disables the up down. It plays up .....

should have a good look at the condition of your fuses, had the same sort of problem no radio, clock but the dash lights were sweet, turned out to be a fuse which i had already checked the pin bits were lightly corroded, put a brand new one in a way she went got radio, something small and simple can cause a bloody headache sometimes
Re: my tail lights dont work
possibly in the switch if ya have checked everything else like fuses/ globesetc, try unpluging at plug conector to light switch and bridging earth with each other wire one at a time and seeing what comes on. can also use a test light to check for power at switch, if has power there then check at light sockets, also could be a bad earth.
Re: my tail lights dont work
yea i agree double check ya fuses mine was the yellow 60a main fuse. also for your window check the canopy switch it under 1 of the bolts holding the canopy on think its 2nd or 3rd bolt from the back on the left side. i just bridged mine out.
