I have 1 out of the 4 injectors leaking, would that make it stall occasionally and smoke quite bad? Cheers

Hi , when you say you have an injector leaking do you mean it is leaking externally as in you can see diesel around the pipe fitting or the injector ?, or have you had them out and tested and one is leaking internally and flooding the cylinder ?. If it is internal this will make it smoke, it will be black smoke and could cause stalling. If external, depending how bad it could cause a miss (3cyl) but doubt it would stall. What colour smoke have you got and is it at idle or under power oops what power with a 2.4

.
If it is Blue smoke = rings, compression, turbo.
Black smoke = unburnt fuel.
white smoke = water.
IT WILL ONLY COST MONEY,
FITZY.

Hey Smokey its black smoke and I can see the Diesel externally, will it cost to fix or is it something as easy as tightening a seal?

Give it a clean (brake cleaner) works good just not on plastic

, and determine where it is leaking, more than likely the pipe, either the bleed back pipe (small pipe at top of injector -- all four linked together and there is small cooper washers/seals either side of fittings), or the injector pipe ( crack this open and then re tighten, if that doesn't stop it leaking it may have a cracked pipe (not common but does happen). It's a while since I worked on a 2.4

, hope I have my description correct. If it is the injector it's self you will have to get it (them) serviced.
The black smoke ?? could be as simple as blocked air cleaner (when did you last change it), remove air cleaner element and take for a short drive, see if that makes any difference.
TIME AND MONEY,
FITZY.

Hey thanks for all You're help, I've had the compression tests all serviced and done and its not the problem so will try the air filter and give the injector a clean!

Cheers bud, really appreciate it!
