spring spacers, fixing in place?

Hi Guys
I am going to put spring spacers in my Safari which has standard springs in it.
Whilst doing research I found one post that suggested fixing them in place using builders adhesive and electrical tape, to prevent them falling out with full spring extension.
I am not an extreme 4wdriver and am wondering if this is really necessary?
Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Hi Coxsy
Seeing how you have them fitted to yours, I have a query. Is it difficult to tell which way up they should fit in? the front ones have a sort of extended ridge/lip in the top and bottom, which i assume is some kind of locating thing.
Any ideas.

Hi Guys
I've got the spring spacers in place and they have got the desired result 30mm lift.
It took the garage around 4 hours to do the lot, apparently they did have to use a spring compressor, as I have new springs fitted all round.
I did have one interesting thing happen on my first long trip. Coming off a metal road onto tarseal in 4WD high, I suddenly got a case of the often mentioned death wobbles at around 80-90km going downhill on the tarseal. I braked to a stop had a look around and found nothing out of place so continued on, and never had another occurence. There was probalbly a bump coming off the metal to tarseal, but nothing much.
Any ideas, i was thinking perhaps a wheel balance and alignment. This is the only suspension mod on the vehicle apart from new springs and rancho 9000 shocks.

Have a look at a good quality steering damper, death wobble could be a load of things but Ive cured a few with a damper

Hi
Did you use an aftermarket large damper like this

or stick with the factory one?
