Re: Cheap Ground Anchors
i recon i could make these cheaper than what hes asking. Ive been meaning to make one to use on my 60 serries. I havnt seeen one in the fleesh so need to do a bit more reserch. But wouldnt be that hard its only a bit of plate and box section. Do many people use these would there much demand for them. Im looking for a something new to keep me busy. i normaly make alloy bash plates for dirt bikes but been doing it for a number of years now so be keen for a new project
I HAVE 60 SERRIES PARTS FOR SALE

What should the angle be? ....do you have some plans you can post of a proven design?

NO and thats the trick. copy a proven one. and bigger isnt necessarily better plus you have to carry the thing on in the truck too. will be making one eventually and just copy someone elses

Re: Cheap Ground Anchors
I've got a couple here I could maybe be persuaded to measure up, at a pretty good guess I'd say they are both a direct copy of the old firma grips, I've only used the red one when we took it to the costa tuff truck teams event a couple of years ago and it seemed to bite and hold in the soft paddocks over there but it hasnt been tried in any harder ground?

Turoa did some R&D on the yellow one to see how robust it was on the 3 times slow roll then 2 1/2 times roll at highspeed off a clift backwards with no brakes landing in a beech tree and other than a very slight tweake it came out A+

nah I didnt take any photos it was off the winch challenge thread below, you can find the owner of the photo in there somewhere, I guess nobody was quick enough (or expecting) to get the second roll
