Hey, i am new to the forum. I gotta Vitara and was wondering what's the better way to go with lift kits, a body lift or a suspension lift. Not going extreme off road. Just pig hunting. Also, will fitting a snorkel allow me to get water up to the bonnet?

There are two reasons for lifting a 4WD, 1. To fit bigger tyres, 2. To get more ground clearance. A bodylift and a suspension lift both allow you to fit bigger tyres, but a bodylift doesn't increase ground clearance. I think bodylifts need to be certified too. With a snorkel on, and if all ignition system parts are waterproof(ed) yes you will be able to cross water over your bonnet. Not a good idea to attempt it if the water is flowing a bit because it'll wash a little suzuki away pretty easily.

There are lots of different lift kits around, heres an example of a basic lift kit from the US:

And if your truck is just an old hack, not worried about wheel travel etc:

By the way, SJ's are much different to vitara's so they have yo be modified in different ways to fit bigger tyres. It's much easier to fit big tyres on an SJ.
