Hey all.
Been meaning to adjust the steering lock bolts since the insurance put another front axle under my 71 series.
I seem to have better lock to the left than turning to the right and it is worse than the original axle.
Keen to adjust to the maximum that I can. I drive lots of hairpin bends one after another which is why I got the 71 series rather than the 78 series.
My question is how far can I go before it is too much? What are the likely issues, other than tyre/chains rub.
Anyone know?

cv's pop easier the further they turn and if you go too far that could be pretty instant.

So how far is too far?
The lock adjustment bolts must be there for a reason, rather than just having a casting lock stop, would you not think? If I wind these bolts fully home will it be too much?

Its a good ? i think there will be a degree setting in a book somewhere. to do mine I looked at all the swivel ball housings in deranged's shed and looked at the wear marks from the felt seals etc. got an indication from that and took a stap in the dark. hopefully someone has better knowledge to share with us
