Monster Truck, Drag Tractors and 4x4 Challenge Cancelled

Alpine Village Inn 4x4 Challenge and Tractor Pull

Its on again We are running the Alpine Village Inn 4x4 Fun Day and Tractor Pull at Pucker Park, Hanmer on Saturday the 7 April (Easter Saturday). This year we have our recently purchased Monster Truck 8) putting on a demo as well as giving rides etc. For the 4x4 Challenge we are setting new stages that will be a test for both the driver and vehicle. With a good mix of technical stages, some mud/boggy ones. It will be run under much the same format as last time with 10-12 stages in total. At least 5 stages in the morning, with a break for lunch when we will have the tractor pull demo and the remaining stages commencing after that. It will be a 10am start with scrutineering from 8.30am on the day and a plan to be finished around 4.30pm.
Spectators most welcome with food etc available. Entry for spectators is $10 per person or $25 for a family and under 5s free.

There will be 2 classes of vehicle;

1, Club Class; Road legal, maximum of 35 inch tyre
2, Outlaw Class, For anything that doesn't fit the above category

Cash Prizes in each of the above classes
1st $250
2nd $150
3rd $100

Entry for driver and optional navigator $40.

Excellent. Always need lots of Marshalls/ helpers.

For anyone else thinking about it not only do you get a free lunch, you also get a free ride in our new Monster Truck 8)

these guys put the effort to put on events because every one
has said there are few and far between.
lets support or they will not make the effort.

no use having 150 people watching 5 trucks, that suxs

thermal thunder last year at the park was personally the best event of the season but again they were on 7 trucks :(

The tractors were all sorted but we had 2 entries for the 4wding. I see a thread has started saying that competition is only for elite trucks blah blah. The guy that won our last mudplug was driving a standard Isuzu Bighorn with 33 inch tyres. And people wonder why there are no events :roll: :roll:

Yup I did it last year, great fun and NO DAMAGE to the VX, just had the 35's and 3" lift at that stage
